RSS is a way to tell your favorite websites to let you know when they have new content. RSS also allows you to access this content on your own timetable. RSS does not clog up your email.
First, you pick an RSS Feed Reader. A couple of free and easy to use ones are Google Reader and Bloglines.
Second, when you see an RSS icon, click it. The page that comes up will give you everything you need to enable the content you want to come to you.
For a simple and quick video description of how RSS works, view the video at the bottom of this page.

Colds seem inevitable to many people. According to WebMD, the common cold, including chest and head colds, can be caused by more than 200 viruses, most of which we cannot avoid being exposed to. You can try to prevent a cold by being diligent about hand washing, but strengthening your immune system will be key to fighting off these pesky viruses.
The foods we eat play a very important role in strengthening our immune system. Whether your body is fighting a virus or cancer, a strong immune system is critical. Below are specific foods and nutrients that have been shown to improve your body’s natural defenses:
Foods:
• Cruciferous vegetables such as cabbage, broccoli & Brussels sprouts
• Shittake mushrooms
• Cocoa and coffee (because of the anti-oxidants)
• Alcohol (in moderation)
• Probiotics in yogurt
Nutrients:
• Omega-3 fatty acids found in olive oil, avocado, fish oils & nuts (can
also be taken as a supplement)• Resveratrol found in red wine,
grapes, and knotweed plants
• Catechins found in green tea
• Quercetin found in onions, garlic,
tomatoes & apples
• Lycopene found in tomatoes and
red grapefruit
Reduce or Avoid in your Diet:
• Simple sugars
• Syrups
• Enriched/non-whole grains
• Saturated fats
• Trans fats
• Alcohol in excess
• Nonorganic meats
• Fish with mercury
Food is not the only way to strenthen your immune system. Other suggestions include meditation and relaxation therapies.
