What is RSS

RSS is a way to tell your favorite websites to let you know when they have new content. RSS also allows you to access this content on your own timetable. RSS does not clog up your email.

First, you pick an RSS Feed Reader. A couple of free and easy to use ones are Google Reader and Bloglines.

Second, when you see an RSS icon, click it. The page that comes up will give you everything you need to enable the content you want to come to you.

For a simple and quick video description of how RSS works, view the video at the bottom of this page.

Support Groups Overview

Time and Date: Now Forming
Once each month there will be a support group for men who have suffered a cardiac event and experienced a procedure to correct a heart condition and/or avoid additional problems. Considering that compliance with the programs for better nutrition, exercise, and stress reduction are easily bypassed or ignored months after the event, such a support group is critical to keep men alive and functioning with a higher quality of life. Contact us for the time and location of the next meeting.
Forum and Webinar coming 2010
Men who are unwilling to discuss ED issues with a counselor will have the opportunity to discuss these issues with anonymity on this MHWC Website. This Forum with a monthly Webinar will be available in 2010. Look for an announcement of the date for this virtual support group or sign up through the RSS link for Support Groups Overview and your RSS reader will be informed about all support groups.
Time and Date: 3rd Thursday of each month from 6:30 - 8:30 PM
Location: Piedmont West @Interstate 75 and Howell Mill Rd.
Each month there will be a support group meeting for men who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer and are considering their options, cancer survivors and men who deal with prostate cancer daily. This group normally meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month from 6:30 - 8:30 PM.  The first half hour is a cooking demonstration with recipes for those who desire to prevent cancer and other diseases.  After the group meets for updates, the men discuss their issues prior to and after treatment, and caregivers meet separately to discuss their issues.  Whether newly diagnosed or a long term survivor, this is one group you need to attend.  Contact us for the location of the next meeting.
